What problem is CIQ solving?
CIQ is focused on building infrastructure delivery tools, including provisioning, deployment, secure containerization, and High Performance Computing (HPC) tools. CIQ works closely with companies to ensure that their foundation is solid and that whatever they’re building is optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. .
How can people get involved?
If you’re interested in getting involved, apply for a position at CIQ. We’re looking for engineers with Linux experience, as well as other people who have a startup mentality, like to wear many hats, and are passionate about what CIQ is working on.
What is it like to work at CIQ?
This is an exciting time to work at CIQ. We have employees all over the world—in the U.S., Japan, Norway, and France; that’s one of the benefits of being a fully remote organization. Although most of us work remotely, over 20 people from CIQ are attending SC22 in Dallas this week. We’re looking forward to connecting with our colleagues, partners, and Rocky Linux enthusiasts from around the world in person!
CIQ is rapidly growing. What approaches has CIQ implemented in terms of ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace?
We promote pay equity—we have salary ladders for all of our roles, and those are analyzed on a regular basis to make sure everyone is given the same opportunity depending on their role and skills. We also want to make the world a better place by providing education, mentoring, and training to everyone, both inside and outside the organization. We’re building an online certification area for training and certification that will be available to anyone who is interested. At CIQ, we want to help anyone who wants to learn, and that will hopefully enable a more diverse group of individuals who want to be part of this community.
